Description
Serpent’s Tongue (Rare, Requires Attunement)
“Whom dost thou trust — the hand that strikes, or the hiss that guides it?”
Forged in forgotten ruins where serpents whisper secrets to shadows, this twisted blade is formed from twin emerald vipers eternally entwined. Their fangs drip with ancient venom, and their coiled bodies pulse faintly with life.
-
Poison Lash: This blade deals an additional +1d4 poison damage on hit.
-
Serpent Speech: While attuned, you can communicate telepathically with any serpent or snake-like creature within 60 feet. This does not require the Speak with Animals spell.
-
Whispered Deceit: Once per long rest, you may cast Suggestion (DC 13) through the blade, but the target must be a creature with blood — warm or cold. When you do, the blade whispers guidance in your mind, sounding eerily like your own voice.
Cursed with the ouroboric cycle of rebirth and rot, Serpent’s Tongue tempts its wielder to shed old skins… even if they aren’t ready to.
